- MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT ON – DIAGNOSIS [A] – CODE RETRIEVAL w/SCAN TOOL, PERFORM VISUAL INSPECTION & TEST CIRCUIT TO FIND PROBLEM. We scanned for codes : P0016 CRANKSHAFT POSITION/ CAMSHAFT POSITION CORRELATION. We found the is no oil getting to the cam phaser and will need to tear down the engine for further inspection. We found Waterpump impeller shaft broken and sending debris throughout the engine.
